JHB Option

This part time course provides for one evening lecture per week at the Coschem Office in Randpark Ridge, by lecturers who are experts in their respective fields within the cosmetic industry.

Besides the academic scenario, we find that students benefit from the contact with fellow students as well as the lecturers, where not only friendships but beneficial working relationships are established.

On completing the first year, students receive a Certificate. The Diploma is awarded upon successful completion of the second year. Every effort is made to provide a challenging, interesting and ultimately beneficial course to all the students.

Mastering skills in Packaging, Marketing, Production, Legislation and delivery of presentations will definitely benefit the student.
Assessment of progress throughout the course is in the form of tutorial exercises, assignments, practical exercises, presentations, product development and exam sessions.

Correspondence Option

All notes for the correspondence course together with a tutorial letter are posted at regular intervals on the student online platform.

Students are required to carry out Tutorial Exercises during the year, which are assessment type tasks that enable the Education Officer to pick up learning/understanding difficulties.

Students have a direct line to the Education Officer through the “Education” email address. Exam venues are set up in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, as well as other South African outlying locations and International locations where feasible.

Note The Cosmetic Science Course is not a National Diploma, does not form part of the NQF
